Teaching in Taiwan

Ministry of Education, Taiwain Great Seal of Arkansas

The Arkansas Department of Education and the Ministry of Education in the Republic of China (Taiwan) are continuing to offer Arkansas teachers the opportunity to study and teach in Taiwanese schools.  We invite experienced and newly licensed teachers to apply for participation in this program.

Taiwan Exchange Program

Three Arkansas educators have been selected to participate in this program from August, 2007, to July, 2008. To learn more about the teachers' experiences in Taiwan, please visit their Weblogs, where you can also leave them a comment.

Carolyn Scott, a second grade teacher at Lowell Elementary School in Rogers for the last three years, has been teaching for 26 years.

Marilyn Hodgin, an elementary English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) facilitator at Grimes Elementary School in Rogers for five years, has 11 years of teaching experience.

Irving Granderson
Silas Irving Granderson, a physical science teacher at Elmwood Junior High School in Rogers for 19 years, has been a teacher for 35 years.
