The Arkansas Department of Human Services Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education (DCCECE) is accepting applications for grant funding to improve early childhood education facilities in communities across the state. Applications are due in the DCCECE office no later than 4:00 pm, May 1, 2013 for consideration of funding beginning July 1.
Division Director Tonya Russell said this is an opportunity for rural schools to apply for funding for facility construction or improvement.
Educators know the achievement gap begins before a child steps foot into kindergarten. These funds will provide some of the state’s most vulnerable children access to early childhood education.
