What is PARCC?

The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) is a group of states working together to develop assessments that measure college and career readiness. These high-quality, computer-based assessments in mathematics and English Language Arts/Literacy give teachers, schools, students, and parents information about students’ educational progress. They also provide tools to help teachers customize learning to meet student needs.

Aligned with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), the PARCC assessments will be administered to students in grades 3-8 for mathematics and grades 3-11 for English Language Arts/Literacy during the 2014-2015 school year. PARCC End-of-Course (EOC) assessments will be administered for Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II.
