Recognition Programs - Presidential Awards for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching

The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) is a program administered by the National Science Foundation for the White House. Arkansas mathematics and science teachers meeting certain criteria may apply for this prestigious award. Following an initial state selection process, national awards are made to outstanding science and mathematics teachers from across the country. The winners are selected by a panel of distinguished scientists, mathematicians, and educators. The 2010 PAEMST program honored grades K-6 mathematics and science teachers, while the 2011 awards program will honor grades 7-12 mathematics and science teachers.
