School Improvement


The primary mission of the School Improvement Unit is to assist districts and schools in their efforts to improve student achievement.  The Unit’s purpose is to enhance the quality of the student experience through teaching and learning and broker resources aligned to need. 

The School Improvement Unit provides technical assistance to districts and schools in the effective use of interventions, processes, diagnostic analysis, development of needs assessments, building capacity, implementation of the Seven Turnaround Principles, and addressing instructional issues in a district or school that has not made sufficient progress in student achievement.   • October 1st - ACSIP Submission Deadline
  • May 1st - ACSIP Amendment and Adjustment Deadline
