TESS Training Materials and Resources for Teachers
To ensure that Arkansas educators are prepared for evaluation under the Teacher Excellence and Support System, all teachers in Arkansas’ public and charter schools will receive training on the Teacher Excellence and Support System (TESS) law and process. Training support began during the spring of 2013 and will continue through the 2014-2015 school year. Every school building was allowed to send one person to the TESS training during the spring of 2013 who then facilitated a three (3) hour, face-to-face training for teachers. The training documents and resources have been updated and include a facilitator guide for trained individuals who will deliver the Law and Process training at local education cooperatives or local districts.
