The LEADS summative scoring worksheets should be used with the summative evaluation form to calculate a summative evaluation rating. The evaluator will calculate the administrator’s final rating using the appropriate worksheet, either the Principal Scoring Worksheet or the Assistant Principal/ School Leader Scoring Worksheet. Based on evaluator data input, each worksheet calculates the average of the functions in each standard and determines the overall rating based on the average of the function scores. The scoring document should accompany the administrator's final summative evaluation form and be used to determine the overall rating based on formative assessment conferences, related artifacts, and evidence of growth recorded during the year. This form should only be used for overall summative ratings at the end of the year.
Because building principals are evaluated on all functions, all cells must have a value. The cells are formatted so that a numeric value must be entered before a final calculation is provided. Depending on the job role, assistant principals or other administrators may not be evaluated on all functions; therefore, a separate scoring worksheet is provided for these positions. Cells highlighted in yellow must be evaluated and must have a numeric value. Other cells must either have a numeric value or an "NA" for the final score to be calculated.
