The Arkansas Department of Education's Office of Communications works daily to keep Arkansans informed of the operations of the ADE and of educational issues, events and achievements that occur year-round in the state. The office is responsible for photography, videography, production of PowerPoint and other presentation materials for ADE.
In addition to disseminating news releases, the Office of Communications manages the ADE website as well as publishing the ADE Briefs blog, maintaining the ADE social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, and producing education-related publications. The Office of Communications also coordinates the Teacher of the Year program and the Milken awards in Arkansas. The office also compiles a clearinghouse of education-related grant opportunities and serves as the ADE's first point of contact for the news media.
