The Administrators section at ArkansasEd.org is a resource for administrators in Arkansas’ 246 public school districts.  From licensure information to professional development opportunities, the Arkansas Department of Education wants to provide superintendents, principals, and other school administrators with the resources they need.

School Closing Notifications

Superintendents should include the full seven digit LEA number of the school(s)in the e-mail message body, along with the reason for closing and any other necessary information. E-mail should be sent each day the school is closed.

If electricity is not available, notification should be made by calling the ADE at 501-683-4786. For more information, please see the Commissioner's Memo regarding this policy.
