| Description: |
Currently, the Arkansas Department of Education maintains three separate rules governing the consolidation and annexation of school districts. This rule combines all three rules into one rule governing consolidations and annexations. This rule is also necessary to make technical corrections and update the rule so that it is in accordance with applicable state law, as amended by Acts 989 and 1217 of 2011. Concurrent with the adoption of this new rule, the three separate annexation and consolidation rules are being repealed. |
